Alexandre Athané has worked in Paris, New York and London, mainly, as a director, illustrator and animator. In 2007, he directed his first short film, “Zoe Melody”, in traditional animation, consisting of more than 10,000 drawings done by hand, with Marco Prince at “The Musical Baton” and with support from Canal+.

 

In 2015, he completed his second short film “A Space In Time” which was drawn, animated and colored by hand, frame by frame. The film traveled around the world and collected numerous international awards.

In 2024 his third short film, “Jus d’Orange”, was released: an animated film featuring the voice of José Garcia. The film won the Spirit Award Animation at the Brooklyn Film Festival and the Prize for Best Screenplay at the Filmmakers’ Evening at the Grand Rex in Paris.
